About This Event
At New York Comedy Club - Midtown, Story Warz features Big Jay Oakerson, Luis J. Gomez and special guests. Both comics are fixtures on the city’s club circuit—Oakerson for blunt, improvisational storytelling and his work with The Legion of Skanks live shows; Gomez for a podcast-influenced, conversational stand-up approach—so the bill reflects stand-up shaped by live podcast culture.
About Story Warz
Story Warz is a live, story-driven comedy show staged at New York Comedy Club – Midtown, where stand-ups turn personal anecdotes into structured bits in front of a room that hears every pause. Featured performers include Big Jay Oakerson and Luis J. Gomez, working in a New York tradition that treats confession and argument as raw material for humor. No specific NYC premiere history is publicly established, but the format fits the city’s long-running workshop culture for testing voice and timing. One critical note: the show rewards clarity over chaos, and not every story survives the spotlight.
