Adjua Ajamu
About This Event
Adjua Ajamu, a jazz vocalist and bandleader heard on New York stages including Terra Blues, performs at the venue in a set that foregrounds repertoire and close listening. Her arrangements leave room for the band to breathe and her emphasis on tone, timing and the shape of a lyric favors clarity over spectacle; song choice and phrasing carry the weight.
