The Richard Cortez Band
About This Event
The Richard Cortez Band appears in a small-ensemble format at The Django, shaping sets around steady time, clear melody and open space for improvisation. The group's approach favors ensemble balance over solo display, with arrangements that prioritize conversation between players and a sound that reads as practiced and deliberate rather than decorative.
