About This Event

Magnetospheres features an ensemble of accomplished musicians performing in the experimental jazz and improvised music genres. The lineup includes Carla Kihlstedt (violin), Johnny Gandelsman (violin), Yuniya Edi Kwon (viola), Marika Hughes (cello), Cole Kamen-Green (trumpet), Oscar Noriega (bass clarinet), Rebecca Heller (bassoon), Trevor Dunn (bass), and Jeong Lim Yang (bass). This performance is part of a residency at The Stone at The New School, a venue dedicated to avant-garde jazz, free improvisation, and new music. Attendees can expect an exploration of sound and improvisation in a stripped-down setting that emphasizes the music itself.
