About This Event
At New York Comedy Club - Midtown, Judah Friedlander, Ayanna Dookie, Jared Waters, Aaron Putnam and Jill Weiner share the bill. Friedlander pairs frequent New York club dates with television and film credits (including 30 Rock and American Splendor); Dookie blends personal anecdote and social commentary; Putnam moves between club sets and family‑friendly rooms with clean, direct punchlines, while Waters and Weiner are regulars on the local stand‑up circuit.
About 30 Rock
“30 Rock” here refers to the city’s other 30 Rock: a stand-up showcase staged at New York Comedy Club’s Midtown and East Village rooms. The lineups rotate, with performers including TaTa Sherise, Judah Friedlander, Neko White, Cipha Sounds, and Paula J. Leon, drawing on backgrounds in television, music, and club comedy. Its cultural reference point is unmistakably New York, echoing the midtown TV mythology that made “30 Rock” shorthand for NBC-era Manhattan. The strongest moments treat the city less as a punchline than as a working premise.
