LPR Presents: Ana Gasteyer Sugar & Booze Holiday Spectacular
About This Event
Ana Gasteyer brings her sketch-comedy background from Saturday Night Live to a music-led holiday set, applying comic timing to pop-inflected arrangements drawn from her 2019 Sugar & Booze album. Presented by LPR at Town Hall, the program pairs her acting and vocal skills to reinterpret holiday material.
About Sugar & Booze Holiday Spectacular
At Town Hall, Ana Gasteyer presents “Sugar & Booze Holiday Spectacular,” a rock/pop holiday set that mixes song with a comedian’s sense of revision. Drawing on her 2019 album and years of sketch performance on Saturday Night Live, TV, and film, she treats seasonal standards as raw material for character and commentary. Town Hall’s history as a New York platform for concert and spoken-word traditions gives the format added context. The show’s clearest strength is its insistence that holiday music can be both familiar and sharply edited.
