Yang Mengen (youngmoon) Stand Up Comedy Special: Renegade
About This Event
Yang Mengen (youngmoon) presents the stand-up special Renegade at Town Hall, framing personal material with a measured, conversational pace and clear narrative turns. The bill also lists Meng'en Yang. Both performers shape jokes through personal and cultural observation, prioritizing timing, language and argument over theatrical showmanship.
About Renegade
At Town Hall, *Renegade* arrives as a live comedy event with Meng’en Yang, also known as Yang Mengen (youngmoon), at its center. The title nods to another “Renegade” in American pop culture, but this work turns the idea inward, using humor to examine persona, status, and the stories people inherit and improvise. Its New York City run places it in a venue long tied to public speech and performance. The sharpest moments come when the jokes double as a quiet inventory of identity.
