Presented as part of the TJG Joyce Wein Mentoring Series with the Louis Armstrong House Museum, Marcus Gilmore and Ryoma Takenada perform at The Jazz Gallery. Gilmore, a drummer who regularly appears at Smoke Jazz & Supper Club and who has worked with the Brad Mehldau Trio and bassist Alexander Claffy, is known for infusing traditional rhythms with a contemporary sensibility.
