Jack Arthur Walrath is an American post-bop jazz trumpeter and musical arranger known for his work with Ray Charles, Gary Peacock, Charles Mingus, and Glenn Ferris, among others.

The Jack Walrath Quintet centers on trumpeter and arranger Jack Walrath, a post-bop figure whose résumé includes work with Ray Charles, Charles Mingus, Gary Peacock, and Glenn Ferris. The group has been documented in concert settings since at least the early 1980s, including a live recording from the Umbria Jazz Festival that later appeared on an Italian label.

Manuel Valera is a Cuban pianist and composer based in New York City, heard in settings that range from small-group jazz to Afro-Cuban projects. In NYC he appears at venues including The Django, Smalls Jazz Club, and Bar Bayeux, where he has worked alongside artists such as Duduka Da Fonseca, Vinicius Gomes, and Eduardo Belo.
