Son Lux - OUT INTO Listening Party, hosted by Rafiq Bhatia [UPSTAIRS]
About This Event
Son Lux presents an OUT INTO listening party upstairs at Public Records, hosted by guitarist-producer Rafiq Bhatia. Son Lux began as Ryan Lott’s solo project and has grown into a collaborative outfit working across post‑rock, electronics and scored narrative forms; its work emphasizes rhythm‑forward structures between programmed detail and live‑band weight, a perspective Bhatia — formerly a touring member and now producer — brings to the session.
About OUT INTO
OUT INTO lands at Public Records as a listening-party format for Son Lux, hosted by guitarist-producer Rafiq Bhatia. What began as Ryan Lott’s solo venture now operates as a collective practice, moving between electronic composition, post-rock vocabulary, and work shaped by film-like narrative thinking. The set is built around rhythm as structure rather than decoration, with sound design doing much of the storytelling. In a city where club systems and contemporary composition often share the same night, this kind of hybrid presentation reads as a quiet document of that overlap.
