Based around a working-band ethic, the night brings rotating players through a loose set of standards, blues, and rock repertoire shaped in real time.

Richie Cannata is a New York–based saxophonist, keyboardist, and producer whose profile was shaped by years on the road with Billy Joel’s band. After leaving that touring role, he built a parallel life in the studio, founding Cove City Sound Studios on Long Island and working behind the glass with major pop and Latin artists.

Richie Cannata leads the Monday Night Jam at The Bitter End, a weekly New York City session shaped by his long career as a saxophonist, keyboardist, and producer. Known for years on the road with Billy Joel and for founding Cove City Sound Studios, he brings a working musician’s perspective to the bandstand.
