Rock/Pop
Emancipator, Shrimpnose, Lapa
About This Event
Emancipator is the recording project of producer Douglas Appling, whose work sits between rock/pop structures and the quieter tempos of trip hop, downtempo and chillstep; he appears at Elsewhere with Shrimpnose and Lapa. Built from layered beats, strings and patient melodies that favor atmosphere over climax, the material has moved from bedroom production toward stage‑forward presentations, placing headphone‑born textures in Elsewhere's late‑night room.
