Garth Fagan Dance, founded by the choreographer who, through Disney’s The Lion King on Broadway, taught more than 100 million audience members to move as one global community, appears at The Joyce Theater. The company’s work is rooted in African traditions, Caribbean stories and the Black dance vocabulary known as the Fagan Technique; the program will foreground that lineage and choreographic language.
