THE LEGEND OF KORRA IN CONCERT

“The Legend of Korra in Concert” at NJPAC brings Nickelodeon’s sequel series into a live setting, pairing large-scale projection with an onstage ensemble performing Jeremy Zuckerman’s score in a rock/pop-leaning concert format. The program traces Korra’s coming-of-age story as she navigates political unrest, spiritual change, and competing ideas of power in a modernizing world. In the New York area, it lands as part of a continuing shift that treats animation scores like repertory, presented with the same attention as film music. The live performance clarifies how much the series’ identity depends on rhythm and timbre, not just plot.
