Candlebox — the Seattle rock band formed in 1990 with eight studio albums, several charting singles, a compilation and a CD+DVD — performs with Sponge at the Starland Ballroom. Sponge, formed in Detroit in 1992 by Vinnie Dombroski and colleagues, brings a catalog that includes ten studio albums, multiple live and archival releases and charting singles such as "Plowed" and "Wax Ecstatic."

Sponge
Sponge is an American rock band formed in Detroit, Michigan, in 1992 by vocalist Vinnie Dombroski, guitarist Mike Cross, bassist Tim Cross, drummer Jimmy Paluzzi, and guitarist Joey Mazzola. Dombroski and the Cross brothers were previously in the hard rock band Loudhouse, with Mazzola joining just before the end of the band's tenure.
