Violinist-composer Tomoko Omura brings her Roots Quintet to The Jazz Gallery to present a program of her recent compositions. Omura, named DownBeat’s #1 Rising Star Violinist in 2021, has released five albums including Branches Vol. 2. The quintet favors structured writing and clear ensemble roles; Omura’s forthcoming album For Mothers extends her work for solo five-string violin.
