About This Event
Tyler Ann Blanton — a visual artist based in Charleston, S.C., and a former ballerina — leads the Tyler Blanton Quartet at The Django. She trained in classical ballet in New York, Russia and Tbilisi, holds a B.A. in Studio Art from Smith College and an M.A. in Painting earned through NYU’s study-abroad program in Venice, where she lived and worked for seven years; that multidisciplinary background frames her work and may inform the quartet’s approach.

Tyler Ann Blanton is a visual artist living in Charleston, S.C. working in experimental mixed media painting. A former ballerina, her study of the arts began in New York City, Russia and Tbilisi Georgia with classical ballet and continued with painting.
