    About This Event

At Little Island, Oscar Nñ assembles countertenor Anthony Roth Costanzo, Justin Vivian Bond, Anysia Kym, Gwen Jean, Qween Jean, and DJs Nita Aviance and Tama Gucci. The lineup juxtaposes Costanzo’s operatic and directing work and Bond’s cabaret and theatrical practice with club-rooted DJs and live-synthesis artists, foregrounding overlaps between contemporary classical, cabaret, and electronic club forms.

    About Radiolab: Fruit Fantasia

“Radiolab: Fruit Fantasia” arrives at Little Island as a live, hybrid performance that treats radio-style storytelling as stagecraft. Built around fruit as a cultural object and a set of metaphors, it moves between science, appetite, labor, and queer nightlife codes, with featured performers Justin Vivian Bond, Tama Gucci, Nita Aviance, Anthony Roth Costanzo, and Qween Jean. The program sits in a New York tradition of public-media performance crossing into downtown performance spaces. Its most telling gesture is how it lets pleasure and information share the same room without resolving their tension.
