About Postcards
At Queens Theatre, *Postcards* arrives as a live, cross-genre work that moves between dance and spoken theater. It borrows its title’s cultural shadow from Carrie Fisher’s semi-autobiographical story, later adapted for film in 1990, and reframes those themes for the stage: image-making, relapse and recovery, and the mechanics of family under pressure. This production reads as a portrait of performance itself, where the body carries what language can’t. Specific NYC premiere history has not been widely documented.
