Tiny Idea & Friends
About This Event
Tiny Idea & Friends presents a mixed bill at Union Hall featuring Belle, Isa, Tessa, Tiny and comedian Medina, with “Idea” noted as a narrative premise rather than a performing persona. The bill foregrounds concise songcraft and rock-pop textures — Belle’s Glasgow-rooted songwriting and Tiny’s 1990s-rock cues — alongside Isa’s songwriting and keyboard pedigree, Tessa’s disciplined backing-vocal approach, and Medina’s character-driven comedy.
About the Artists
Tiny
Tiny is a New York City–based artist whose work draws on 1990s rock as both source material and structure. The name echoes *Tiny Music… Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop*, the 1996 Stone Temple Pilots album shaped during the band’s regrouping period and produced by Brendan O’Brien.
Idea
Idea is the credited concept behind *The Idea of You*, a 2024 American romantic comedy-drama directed by Michael Showalter and adapted from Robinne Lee’s novel. The film centers on a single mother drawn into a complicated romance with the frontman of a chart-topping boy band, played by Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine.
Isa
Isa is an English songwriter, producer, musician, and screen composer, widely recognized for her work as a keyboardist in Florence and the Machine. Her career spans years of writing, touring, and studio production, alongside composing for film and television.
Medina
Medina is a New York City–based comedian who performs at Union Hall, working in character-driven comedy with an ear for everyday speech. She has appeared alongside the rotating LATE BLOOMERS lineup of unexpected solo characters, sharing bills with performers including Grace, Reiter, Gus, Heagerty, Nick, Mestad, and Ashley.
Tessa
Tessa is an English rock/pop singer who began working professionally in the late 1970s and built a career largely as a backing vocalist for contemporary artists. Her work is shaped by the discipline of supporting other voices while keeping her own tone precise and grounded.
Belle
Belle is a rock/pop artist with roots in Glasgow, working in the independent pop tradition associated with Scottish songwriting. In New York City, they appear at Union Hall, including on PRETTY MAJOR, the host-driven program led by Jay Jurden that places short music sets alongside stand-up.
