About This Event
At the Imperial Theatre, Chess brings together New York–based stage performers. Aaron Tveit returns to Freddie Trumper after originating Christian in Broadway’s Moulin Rouge!, a role that earned him a Tony Award; he is joined by Lea Michele, Hannah Cruz—recipient of a 2024 Clarence Derwent Award—and Bradley Dean, with Nicholas Christopher, Sean Allan Krill and Bryce Pinkham in the company. The cast favors clear storytelling and vocal control over display.

Lea Michele
Lea Michele is a New York–based stage performer and vocalist whose career began in childhood Broadway casts, including *Les Misérables*, *Ragtime*, *Fiddler on the Roof*, and later *Spring Awakening*. She became widely known to TV audiences through *Glee*, while continuing to work as a singer and songwriter.
Hannah Cruz
Hannah Cruz is a New York–based actress and singer whose work centers on Broadway musicals. She drew attention for creating Inez Milholland in *Suffs* and for her work in the original company of *The Connector*, earning a 2024 Clarence Derwent Award for those performances.
Bradley Dean
Bradley Dean is a New York–based stage and screen performer whose work centers on Broadway and large-scale musicals. At the Imperial Theatre, he appears in *Chess* alongside Aaron Tveit, Lea Michele, Hannah Cruz, and Sean Allan Krill, in a company that also includes Nicholas Christopher and Bryce Pinkham.
