Chess returns to the Imperial Theatre with Aaron Tveit back as Freddie Trumper, joined by Lea Michele, Hannah Cruz, Bradley Dean and a company that includes Nicholas Christopher, Sean Allan Krill and Bryce Pinkham. Tveit, a Tony winner for Moulin Rouge!, is known for clean musical line and direct storytelling; Michele, Cruz and Dean likewise favor lyric-forward phrasing and character-driven precision, which helps define the revival's vocal and narrative focus.

Aaron Tveit

He originated Christian in Broadway’s *Moulin Rouge!*, earning a Tony Award for leading actor, and has also been heard in roles across *Wicked*, *Next to Normal*, *Catch Me If You Can*, and *Sweeney Todd*.
Hannah Cruz
Hannah Cruz is a New York–based actress and singer whose work centers on Broadway musicals. She drew attention for creating Inez Milholland in *Suffs* and for her work in the original company of *The Connector*, earning a 2024 Clarence Derwent Award for those performances.
Bradley Dean
Bradley Dean is a New York–based stage and screen performer whose work centers on Broadway and large-scale musicals.
