Courtney Shanade Salter, known professionally as Ari Lennox, is an R&B singer-songwriter from Washington, D.C. Signed to J. Cole's Dreamville in 2015 as the label's first female artist, she gained attention after the 2016 EP Pho, contributed an uncredited vocal to Cole's "Change," and released the full-length Shea Butter Baby in 2019 to positive critical and commercial response. She is billed as Quiet Light, Ari at Public Records.
