Grouper is the long-running solo project of musician and producer Liz Harris, active on independent labels since 2005 and working between drone, ambient, slowcore and dream pop. At Town Hall in New York City she presents material built from hushed vocals, gauzy guitar and spare piano, a performance approach that privileges clarity over spectacle and lets small shifts in tone and volume carry the form.
