Grouper is the long-running solo project of musician, artist, and producer Liz Harris, active on independent labels since 2005; her catalog includes Dragging a Dead Deer Up a Hill, two-part A I A, and Ruins, and she works between drone, ambient, slowcore and dream pop, building songs from hushed vocals, gauzy guitar and spare piano. At Town Hall she presents that restrained approach live, where performances favor clarity over spectacle and small shifts in tone and volume shape the program.
