Letters Live brings staged readings of real-world correspondence to Town Hall, where actors deliver letters that range from comic to raw and intimate. Originating in the UK in 2013 through a collaboration between Canongate Books and SunnyMarch, the project has since traveled as a flexible, actor-driven format rather than a fixed script. In New York, it lands as a play-adjacent event: literature performed, not adapted. Its quiet strength is how it treats private writing as public record, letting voice and timing do the analysis.
