    About This Event

Tank and the Bangas, the New Orleans ensemble led by poet-vocalist Tarriona “Tank” Ball, work at the crossroads of hip-hop and alternative R&B and rose to wider attention after winning NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest in 2017. They bring their rhythmic, text-forward approach—traced across albums from Thinktank through Green Balloon and Red Balloon and culminating in a 2025 Grammy win for the spoken-word project The Heart, The Mind, The Soul—to Brooklyn Bowl's stage in New York City.
