    About The Seventh AIM Biennial

The Seventh AIM Biennial arrives at The Bronx Museum of the Arts as a live, in-person exhibition project that takes stock of emerging and mid-career practices shaped by New York’s shifting social and economic ground. Across multiple works and materials, it maps how artists respond to the city’s pressures—housing, labor, identity, and public space—without pretending these are abstract themes. In a city crowded with art fairs and short attention spans, the Biennial’s slower, research-forward pace reads as a deliberate counterpoint. Presented in the Bronx, it also carries a local institutional history of insisting that contemporary art belongs outside Manhattan’s center.
