Classical
Calder Quartet
About This Event
The Calder Quartet is a Los Angeles-based string quartet known for a range that spans Haydn and Beethoven through contemporary works, often in the same program. Founded in 2000 and named for sculptor Alexander Calder, the group has commissioned and premiered numerous new compositions and collaborates with artists across disciplines. A Carnegie Hall engagement places them in one of New York's most demanding classical concert settings.
