FUTUROS: New Ideas in Composition presents the world premiere of Mirror, Mirror, an opera by Venezuelan-Chilean composer Miguel Farías developed in collaboration with New Latin Wave. The piece draws from the life and writings of the late Chilean novelist and performance artist Pedro Lemebel, whose queer countercultural voice shaped Latin American literature. Performed at the David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center, the free concert is part of a series that commissions new operatic work from composers across the Americas.
