Allen Lowe Quartet
About This Event
Saxophonist-composer Allen Lowe brings his quartet to Smalls Jazz Club for a late-night set. A longtime collaborator of Julius Hemphill, Roswell Rudd and David Murray, and the author of several books on the history of jazz, blues and pop, Lowe situates improvisation within a broad historical perspective, and his quartet foregrounds collective interplay and original composition.
