Frank Lacy is a jazz trombonist whose work is closely tied to New York City’s club circuit, including appearances at Smalls Jazz Club. He is known for his long-running role in the Mingus Big Band, a demanding setting that keeps Mingus’s book alive through precision and controlled force.
