    About This Event

Charles M. Brown, professionally Charles Owens, is an American jazz saxophonist and flautist. He leads a quartet at Smalls Jazz Club that follows his working-group approach—using standards and originals as material for close listening and quick decisions, favoring line, time and conversation over showmanship, and leaving space for each player to steer the music in real time.
