Los Tigres del Norte: Los Tigres del Mundo
About This Event
Los Tigres del Norte, a Mexican norteña group formed in Sinaloa and long based in San Jose, bring "Los Tigres del Mundo" to UBS Arena. Their decades-long career across records, film and touring has centered on corridos about migration, politics and romance—songs that have at times faced censorship and helped earn the band multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy awards; on stage they favor direct storytelling over spectacle.
About Los Tigres del Mundo
“Los Tigres del Mundo” arrives at UBS Arena as a Rock/Pop live program anchored by featured performers Los Tigres del Norte. Framed for a New York audience, it places a long-running borderlands song tradition in a contemporary arena setting, where narrative ballads meet amplified band dynamics. If this reads as a NYC-area premiere, its significance is straightforward: it brings a canon often treated as regional into the city’s mainstream concert circuit. The most interesting tension is between intimacy of storytelling and the scale of the room.
