Waax is the project of Brisbane-based musician Marie “Maz” DeVita, formed in 2012 with drummer Tom Bloomfield and reconfigured across multiple lineups through 2023. Across EPs such as Holy Sick and Wild & Weak and the albums Big Grief (2019) and At Least I’m Free (2022), the band has shifted from raw punk edges toward tighter melodic writing; their songs favor direct language and dynamic swings over studio gloss. They bring that approach to Baby's All Right.
