Joel Ross’ Good Vibes

Joel Ross’ Good Vibes is the working bandstand for vibraphonist Joel Ross, built around small-group jazz and the instrument’s bright, percussive sustain. In New York City, the project is heard at the Village Vanguard, where the room’s close acoustics keep the music conversational and exposed.

Joel Ross is a jazz vibraphonist based in Brooklyn, with roots in Chicago where he first played music in his father’s church and built formal training through school and college programs. After moving to New York City, he established himself on the professional scene and became a Blue Note Records artist.
