Les Paul Birthday Celebration - Raul Midón
About This Event
Part of Les Paul's long-running birthday-week concerts at the Iridium, this Les Paul Birthday Celebration features singer-songwriter and guitarist Raul Midón. Les Paul's legacy as a guitarist, builder and cross-genre figure frames the lineup, which draws artists from the rock and jazz worlds; Midón's presence emphasizes guitar and vocal craft within that tradition.
About the Artists
Les Paul
Les Paul, born Lester William Polsfuss, was a guitarist, songwriter, and hands-on builder whose work crossed jazz, country, blues, and pop. He developed early solid-body electric guitar designs that helped shape the instrument later associated with the Gibson Les Paul, while also recording hit sides in the 1950s with singer-guitarist Mary Ford.

“I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Yellowjackets on their GRAMMY nomination for Fasten Up. It was an honor to collaborate with them on ‘The Lion’. The Yellowjackets continue to inspire with their creativity, musicianship, and dedication to the art of jazz.
