    About Zack Shubert Group

Zack Shubert Group is a New York City–based ensemble working at the intersection of rock/pop song form and jazz improvisation. The group centers on pianist Zack Shubert with Charlie DeGrove on bass, Ben Chasin on saxophone, and Gio Suarez on drums. They appear at The Stone at The New School, a venue identified with avant-garde jazz, free improvisation, and new-music residencies. Their sets favor structure without closing off risk, moving between written material and open-ended interplay.
