About Young the Giant

Young the Giant is an American rock and pop band that began in Irvine, California in the mid-2000s, first working under the name the Jakes before signing to a major label and releasing their debut record in 2010. Led by vocalist Sameer Gadhia alongside guitarists Jacob Tilley and Eric Cannata, bassist Payam Doostzadeh, and drummer Francois Comtois, the group broke through on alternative radio with early singles that climbed the U.S. charts. Their live sets favor tight ensemble interplay over spectacle. In New York City, they have appeared at The Rooftop at Pier 17, including the Victory Garden Tour date with Cold War Kids.
