YOASOBI is a Japanese pop-rock duo formed in 2019, pairing songwriter-producer Ayase with vocalist Ikura. Their work begins with text—short fiction, letters, and other written sources—then becomes tightly organized songs marked by fast tempos and dense, Vocaloid-adjacent arrangements within a J-pop frame. The approach treats narrative as structure, with melodies built to carry plot turns as much as hooks. In New York City, they bring the Never Ending Stories Tour to Barclays Center.
