Wombo is a Louisville, Kentucky–based indie rock trio led by Sydney Chadwick, with Cameron Lowe on guitar and Joel Taylor on drums. Their songs sit near the egg-punk edge of rock and pop, built on tight rhythms and wiry melodic lines. Onstage, including at New York City’s Elsewhere, they lean into direct, groove-forward playing that feels closer to a band locked in rehearsal than a staged production. The approach favors clarity over spectacle, letting repetition and tone do the work.
