About Vince

Vince is an American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist who came up in bluegrass groups in the 1970s before stepping into wider view as the lead voice of Pure Prairie League in the late 1970s and early 1980s. After leaving the band, he played guitar with Rodney Crowell’s Cherry Bombs and then turned to a solo path in country music, recording first in Nashville and later establishing a long-running label home with MCA Nashville. His work favors clean phrasing and musicianship over spectacle. New York City appearances have tended to frame him in concert settings rather than theatrical roles.
