About VEN Trio

VEN Trio is a New York City–based jazz and free-improvising group heard at Bar Bayeux. The trio works with bassist Vinicius Gomes, whose playing emphasizes collective listening and elastic time, shifting between grounded pulse and spare counterlines. Saxophonist Noah Garabedian, trained in ethnomusicology at UCLA, brings a research-minded ear to the band’s materials and interactions. Their sets favor structure that can be revised in the moment, with the room’s acoustics and audience attention treated as part of the performance.
