Underscores is the stage name of Devon Karpf, a singer-songwriter and producer who began uploading electronic tracks online as a teenager in San Francisco before folding pop and rock structures into a hyperpop framework. After a run of early EPs, she broke through with the album *Fishmonger* and followed with *Wallsocket* and 2026’s *U*, pairing releases with tours and conceptual online rollouts. She has shared bills with artists such as Charli XCX and is slated to appear at New York City’s Barclays Center on the *Music, Fashion, Film Tour*.
