About Underscores

Underscores is the project of April Harper Grey, an American singer-songwriter and producer who began making electronic tracks online as a teenager before folding rock and pop structures into a hyperpop frame. After a run of EPs, she broke through with the 2021 album *Fishmonger*, then moved from support slots to her own tours, followed by *Wallsocket* in 2023 and *U* in 2026. She is slated to open for Charli XCX on the fall 2026 tour, bringing her work to Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Her performances favor precision over spectacle, with production choices that stay audible even at arena scale.
