Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats is a Cambridge-founded project led by Kevin Starrs, active since 2009 at the crossroads of psychedelic rock and doom-leaning metal. Across six studio albums, most recently 2024’s *Nell’ Ora Blu*, the group leans on fuzz-heavy guitars, minor-key melodies, and a cinematic sense of pacing. Their live sets prioritize atmosphere over flash, with repetition and texture doing much of the narrative work. In New York City, they bring their North America ’26 run to Irving Plaza.
