Tyler Henderson Quintet: Jazz Ensemble in New York

About Tyler Henderson Quintet

The Tyler Henderson Quintet is a straight-ahead jazz small group heard on New York City bandstands, including sets at Smalls Jazz Club in Greenwich Village. Led by Tyler Henderson, the quintet extends work from the Tyler Henderson Quartet and other Henderson-led projects into a larger, more flexible ensemble format. The music leans on shared standards vocabulary and close, conversational improvisation, with attention to pacing and ensemble balance. Their performances favor clarity of line over spectacle.
