Tyler Henderson: Jazz Musician in New York

About Tyler Henderson

Tyler Henderson is a New York–based jazz musician heard in small-group settings, including regular appearances at Smalls Jazz Club in Greenwich Village. He leads the Tyler Henderson Quartet and Tyler Henderson Quintet, working in the straight-ahead tradition and drawing on a shared language of standards and modern repertoire. The groups emphasize ensemble balance, conversational improvisation, and pacing over display. Henderson’s profile is still emerging, but his bandstand work reflects a careful, methodical approach to interaction and form.
