Tommy James: Singer-Songwriter in New York

About Tommy James

Tommy James is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer best known as the voice at the center of Tommy James and the Shondells. His career began in Niles, Michigan, in the mid-1960s and quickly produced U.S. No. 1 singles including “Hanky Panky” and “Crimson and Clover,” alongside enduring hits like “Mony Mony” and “Crystal Blue Persuasion.” In New York, he brings that catalog to venues such as Westbury Music Fair. His performances tend to favor direct songcraft and a steady bandstand presence over spectacle.
