About Tite Curet Alonso
Tite Curet Alonso is an individual artist whose work is heard at New York City’s Hostos Center for the Arts & Culture. A prolific Puerto Rican songwriter, he authored an extensive body of music that shaped modern salsa, and his catalog continues to anchor tributes and repertory programs. His songs have been taken up in collaborations and performances linked to artists such as Roy Brown, Zoraida Santiago, Joe Bataan, Papo Vázquez, Humberto Ramírez, and Angel “PAPOTE” Alvarado. The writing favors direct storytelling and rhythmic precision over ornament.
