The Smugs: Performing Group in New York

About The Smugs

The Smugs are a New York–based group working at the edge of electronic music with a detectable grunge grain in their recorded catalog. They perform at Brooklyn Music Kitchen, a room that rewards tight setups and careful dynamics, and they have shared bills with The Orange Blossoms, The Rote, and Red Mary. With a small but growing online following, the project reads as emerging rather than established. Their sets favor direct rhythm and texture over spectacle.
