The Escape Club is an English pop-rock group that emerged from London’s early-1980s club circuit. They broke through in the U.S. with the chart-topping single “Wild, Wild West,” followed a few years later by the top-ten hit “I’ll Be There.” In New York City, they appear at The Rooftop at Pier 17 as part of the Totally Tubular Festival, sharing bills with artists such as Thomas Dolby, A Flock of Seagulls, Animotion, The Motels, Tommy Tutone, and Producers. Their sets favor direct hooks and tight ensemble playing over spectacle.
